1st Family Retreat

We went to the HEB camp this past weekend for our church retreat. John Paul did great with the traveling and sleeping away from home (probably better than his parents did!) Anyway, we look forward to many years and memories at the retreat.

I just love watching John Paul sleep in the car with his chubby cheeks and cute lips!

We spent the first part of the week in Dallas visiting friends and family. Because I'm the worlds worst at remembering to take pictures, we only have one to show:

John Paul with Uncle Jeff and Kyri

Today we went to Paul's church league basketball game and stopped for a few photos in the bluebonnets. ( Maybe we will take the camera to church tomorrow so we can get a few of Paul without his basketball jersey.)

More Smiles!

So maybe we are a little obsessed with our little man's smile. I could spend hours making him smile and laugh. He was in a particularly happy mood tonight so I wanted to share his precious grins. ( I'll try to catch in on video for next time!)

I can smile!!!

John Paul started smiling at us about a week ago. Here a few captured grins:

1st Baseball game

John Paul went to his Uncle Micheal's baseball game yesterday. His hat is still a little big but we had to keep the sun out of his eyes! (and show a little Aggie pride too!)

When the rain finally stopped on Sunday, Paul took John Paul into the yard to learn all about the plants and trees. He loves to be outside and take walks around the neighborhood. Spring will be sooo fun!

So, we are a little behind on updating the blog. Just when I thought that we were getting some sort of a schedule, John Paul developed a skin allergy and dairy allergy. Needless to say, he has been a little cranky because of the itchy face and upset stomach. He is much better now that we got a cream for his rash and I've cut dairy products from my diet. (Do you realize that dairy is in almost everything yummy???? At least it will be easier to loose the "baby weight" since I can't have ice cream, cheese, butter, etc.)

In the last week, we had lunch with good friends (Joyce and Erin) and made our first road trip to Waco to celebrate family birthdays. Here are a few photos:

This is one of his favorite faces. It is usually followed by a full diaper!!

One month birthday!

We officially made it one month today! It has been the best month of our lives so far and we look forward to many wonderful years watching John Paul grow. Here a few pictures from the past 2 weeks.

Play date with Griffin.
